One of the interesting science presentations at the recent meeting of docs I attended in Hawaii was based on putting gamers in the MRI brain scan machine while they were playing WoW. The investigators found that players that got more "addicted" where those who had more brain activation in their Right Precentral Gyrus.

The addicted WoWers use both side of their brains, but when they compared the use with those who just played WoW casually and more for social and less for fighting, they saw great brain activation in small portion of the right brain called the right precentral gyrus.

Ok so...just maybe...I only use a small portion of the right side of my brain. Strange as that seems it makes me feel better. There is this big thing in the (Aus) news atm about how we need re-hab centres for gamers! Honest I just use it for recreation, I plod along and level mindlessly and relax while I play rather than watch tv. I am not ready for rehab yet....or is that just denial? Perhaps I better crack open another bottle of red ! Oh and Pres in 8 weeks I am doing a road trip of the southern western tip of Aus (if that makes sense) visiting those wine regions I did not get too on my last trip. I promise this time I will have something interesting and worthy of a post !

And while I am here posting...Navy this is in response to crap I saw on the forums from Vu. YOU have done more for IRIS then anyone...you have helped, built, been there for IRIS etc etc....VU turned up to reap and destroy, no point in trying to even point that out to him, he is an ingame Hitler reincarnate (lol) maybe not his fault as with the merge of sakray being his personality he saw an opportunity to scam/farm who knows, but you have never done anything but good for the sever as long as I have had association with you. So here is a salute of respect for the Navy <3

Well I am in Injustice League, it has a pretty close feeling of how it was in HG, well it comes a close second. No one has ePenis syndrome and we battle on for the fun of it. I saw Lenn in Holy Order today which is an alliance guild, they seem pretty nice people also. IL afk spot is north Pront Kafra. I am not on a real lot these days, I just drop in for woe.

Ehh... not much left on Iris at this point WoE wise in my opinion.

Then again it depends what you are looking for in WoE.

I transfered my Sinx and HP back to my original home on Chaos, I actually found some folks that ran in the same circles as people I used to know.

I did 2 WoE with them and seemed ok for the most part, for them a small turn out was 20 people lol... For the most part outside of Thors on stellar days and BIOS, it's just as dead on most places as Iris is. =)

Still not sold on the idea Gravity can do anything to make this game playable again. They seem to screw one virtual pooch after another.

Unfortunately Phil is right on the state of iris WoE. Unless you join someone in the NO alliance then more likely than not you'll be beating your head against a brick wall all WoE.

Takes roughly 5minutes for half their alliance to show up in any castle you attack (and seeing as hardly anyone attacks them they can quite happily leave almost all their castles undefended).

Ofcourse you'll also have them shouting about how awesome they are and how bad everyone else is =P

I'm considering handing in the towel at this point, WoE just isn't fun anymore and nothing outside of WoE really interests me.

I have been thinking about moving over to Chaos, but I don’t know anyone on chaos and it’s not like I woe that regularly. I'm the sort of freak that enjoys just playing I would WoE more if it wasn’t at a stupid time for me.

As for Aion I can’t get into it, I know it will be better once I am high enough to go to Abyss but i just don’t enjoy playing it that much. It just feels too much like the devs ran out of time and did half a job on allot of things.

I am enjoying aspects of Aion, but will still keep playing iRO until its eventual demise. WoE has never been my favorite but it is fun when you are in a fun group, and when you don't get too discouraged by haXors and God-equipped impotents. iRO still has some unique qualities that give it a nostalgic appeal for me.

I think the 2 most likely joins for me would be Revenant (Ziggy and Reyna are there) or Holy Order with Lenn.

If you do transfer to Chaos Peril, I would be willing to give it a try.

I do have to say the two times I WoE'ed on Chaos it was wall to wall action for the most part.

Nothing can ever replace HG, and it's always hard to break into a gorup that has been together for a long time.

And whats this about Vu talking about navy on the forums? i dont understand why someone would give him crap. Its always those who make ro less enjoyable to play who get the most respect, so odd. And Molly described Vu as Hitler lolol this dude sounds ridiculous. What forum is this from exactly?

Yea I still play ro so i can play with my friends, and also because there isnt alot of other really new games around in my room lol. Ps3 still makes my bank account cry. I dont think ill get a good new desktop as soon as i thought. But im not that concerned because there arent alot of games for the computer that i want to play so much, and thats the only reason why i'd want a desktop that will last me years. Ill just stick to the laptop for now for pc games and fill the gb that i have on my windows side with aion later ^^.
